snow-in-Paris

Off to the snow and a look at the shops…..Sort of looking forward to a sweater and some boot wearing since its been so hot here in Byron Bay. Will be  on the look out for inspiration, be it people or places , and checking up on our friends in Paris and London. Will send images of what I see and hopefully what I buy…… a sneak peek!!! I hope I get to throw snowballs and make snow angles… oh and drink red wine all day in a dark bar.

gold coast adventure

nearly forgot to publish this…we went up and over the boarder to see the national rodeo championship opening night! We arrived to see a fallen cowboy  being dragged by his horse and he had blood all over his face. The clowns were running after him and the “pick up men” were trying to catch the horse to release his hand .It was so amazing and so different. It was an entry into another  world of skill, speed strength, raw animal power and cowboys. Best line I heard all night was “cowboy up!” as in get up and get on with it.

keeping an eye on inside out

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

We just sent off images of the Jonathon Adler Bird Bowls. Keep an eye out for our friends in the trend page section: Gold  in Inside Out magazine May / June issue. When I look around the store I do seem to be going for a bit of glitter….Frederique Morrel Baroque candle stick holders, Ottmar Horl gold non conformist dwarfs….and more.

checking things out

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

I seem to be on a search engine roll today and I came across some things that made me smile….this could be my new mantra for 2010. I  love a girl, Deanne Cheuk, that can draw and somehow I think mushrooms may be big in all forms…a revival.

Chantal Simard bijoux

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

We have added three new designers…. another exclusive from Paris, Chantal Simard known for creating the “Kate” Moss earring. A long fine adjustable chain earring that gently touches your shoulder using 18kt gold and stackable large semi precious stones. Loved by Helena Christensen the most delicate and refined 14kt gold wire bangles. Once tried on never taken off…
