Maison de Cire Trudon…….is the world’s oldest wax producing manufacture. They began in 1643 on the eve of Louis XIV (Roi Soleil) reign. I hope this name means something to you…….we have just ordered it and we are 1 of only 15 stores in Australia to stock this candle brand. So we are pretty happy to join the family!
The history of the company is amazing…I happen to love a bit of french history and the names and the aromas of these candles are truly delightful. I am burning Roi Soleil (on this really really rainy day in byron bay). It is the fragrance of the Mirror Gallery the mix of wooden floors , vapours of wax, incense, and hint of citrus….the Chateau de Versailles……so historical and romantic the imagery it conjures up. The huge expanse of beautiful wooden floors and reflective mirrors. I feel completely transported to great those halls, the heady times and intrigue of his court.
I am willing to admit to not going inside of Versailles…. I could not deal with all the people…. so I people watched and imagined the inside of the great palace…to return one day with more time on my hands.
